Built in Unreal Engine 5, The Quiet Floor is a first-person horror game where players explore an abandoned hospital as a journalist uncovering the truth behind illegal experiments. Featuring dynamic lighting, immersive environmental storytelling through collectible journal entries, and AI-driven enemy behavior, the game emphasizes tension, stealth, and atmosphere. Drop Zone: Vortis is a first-person tactical shooter created as part of a university game development assignment. Inspired by the intense, team-based chaos of Helldivers 2, the game drops players into a hostile alien world where survival hinges on coordination, reflexes, and orbital firepower.
Built in Unreal Engine 5, Drop Zone: Vortis features:
-
Fast-paced combat with twin-stick shooter mechanics
-
Squad-based gameplay, with local co-op and enemy swarm AI
-
Stratagem-like ability system, letting players call in support drops, turrets, or orbital strikes
-
Procedurally populated combat zones, inspired by war-torn planetary landscapes
This project was well-received among peers and affectionately dubbed "Helldivers 3" by classmates. I embraced the comparison and used it to push the game further into polished, chaotic fun.
